Unmistakable
I knew I was home
Because of that unmistakable feeling
Returning, complete familiarity
Clashing at once with complete novelty
The most comfortable estrangement
Claims
I think boys more than girls
Claim strengths that are not theirs
While girls more than boys
Claim weaknesses that are not theirs
Growing apart is a claim put into practice

Smile/Congrats
Hardly remember your voice
But what's less familiar
Is that smile
That's a different smile
A smile only he can give

Comfort
We only just ran into one another
And yet she saw me
In my entirety
Letting me bask in myself
Comfortably for a change

What to Bring
You brought me to God
Where else should I go
You brought me to forever
When else should I submit
To bring you so much less
Manifest
Yes, there are people who
Could afford to put more thought
To their actions
Perhaps in this case you could put
More action to your thoughts

Digging into herself with palette knives
Her vibrant layers stripped beneath turpentine beards
Her masterpiece though, in tact beneath the base coat
